Hi, I’m Anela Grace.

Originally from Montana, now based in Portland, Maine. My work explores the spaces between reality and imagination, blending surrealism and impressionism to create immersive, dreamlike worlds. I am drawn to the quiet, often overlooked moments in life, the small details that hold unexpected beauty.

Art, for me, has always been more than a practice. It’s a way to process emotion, to hold and transform experiences, and to connect deeply with the world around me. Creating is the meditation that allows me to find presence, and a kind of magic that keeps me returning to the canvas again and again.

My background as a Licensed Massage Therapist and YTT200 molds my artistic perspective. With studies in Anatomy and Psychology, and personal studies in Philosophy, I approach my work as a spiritual and somatic practice, using my own body as a vessel to channel emotion and intention into each painting.
